Pullo is a small batch coffee roastery that offers several locally sourced (Indonesia based here) and also some seasonal global selection.

Why and what is Pullo you may ask?

At our infancy, I chose to name it Pullo Espresso, derived from pull your espresso, hehe. Cause u know, you have to pull it to get the espresso.

At the beginning I wanted to focus upon unique selection for espresso roast then followed with seasonal filter selection. However, due to limited amount of stocks I had and the increasing price I could not keep up. So, I had to stop production and roast at that time (around 2021 end).

But the name “Pullo” itself also has some personal significance for me. Back then when I was not working for coffee yet, I always like to hang out around trying new cafes and public libraries in between my activities. One day when I was a kid, I stumbled upon this book, the island of misfit toys. It filled a place in my mind where each of this different characters have their own roles and adventures.

I find this somehow related to my experience of discovering coffees. Every terroir has different characteristics that may influence the overall coffee tastes. Every one has their own favourite/preference in coffee. So there’s no one coffee to rule them all. My wife will read this and know that I think I am hilarious, at least for myself, lol.

So, with that in mind, I personally want Pullo to be able to at least offer you, any of you something that you might like. You do not have to like all of our offering, I just hope at least there is one that suits well for your taste. Because I believe, trained or untrained, first-timer or experienced, there will be one coffee that someone could enjoy them as it is.
